A. Despite the bad press fueled by moms like Britney Spears, many stars―Courteney Cox, Sarah Jessica Parker and Helen Hunt, to name three―have embraced motherhood. Our fave is Jennifer Garner, who dotes on Violet, with hubby Ben Affleck. Vote for your favorite in our poll on the right.

Q. How is Elizabeth Edwards coping with the rigors of her cancer treatment and also campaigning for her husband John's Presidential nomination?
―Jean Ferri, Hollywood, Fla.

A. Mrs. Edwards, 58, tells us: "My regimen requires very little time―just pills and periodic IV treatments―so it does not impact my normal day-to-day activities. I am fortunate to have no side effects or symptoms. I feel great and enjoy my time on the road with the kids as John and I continue the campaign."

Q. I've been a fan of ER's Mekhi Phifer for over a decade―ever since his breakout role in Spike Lee's Clockers. Is he married?
―Stephanie H., Milwaukee, Wis.

A. Almost. Phifer, 32, is engaged to designer Oni Souratha. "We're excited about our new baby," he tells us. (Their son, Mekhi, arrived Oct. 30.) He's also excited about a new movie from his own production company, Facilitator Films. Titled This Christmas, it arrives Wednesday.

Q. With Steve Irwin gone and Jack Hanna turning 60, who is TV's next wildlife advocate?
―Clark Catelain, Scottsdale, Ariz.

A. Jarod Miller, 29, host of the syndicated Animal Exploration. "As an only child, I surrounded myself with all types of creatures," says Jarod. At 25, he became a zoo director and has done everything from feed a croc to extract a ferret's tooth.

Q. I hear that tennis ace Venus Williams wears her own fashions. What's her line called?
―Jon B., Salem, Mass.

A. EleVen. "It's from the address of our first home in California," Venus, 27, tells us. "And it's how I try to live: as an 11―better than a 10, better than the best." Anything she doesn't excel at? "Golf," Venus admits. "I leave that to my boyfriend, [pro golfer] Hank Kuehne."

Q. Joy Behar has survived the various cast shake-ups on The View, with Prince WilliamBarbara Walters. How has she kept her cool?
―Scott P., Chagrin Falls, Ohio

A. "When things get sticky, I put on my football helmet," jokes Behar, 65. She explains that she developed the ability to cope from years of dealing with hecklers and rowdy crowds at comedy clubs. "I adjust to different situations," says Behar, "or I change the subject."

Q. John Travolta has spoken out about global warming. How does he reconcile that with the fact that he owns and flies two jets?
―Michelle Levick, Ventnor, N.J.

A. Travolta, 53, likes to point to his humanitarian efforts, such as flying supplies to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Like many celebs who drive large SUVs and fly in private jets, however, he exemplifies the old adage "Do as I say, not as I do."

Q. Do Susan Sarandon and her longtime partner, Tim Robbins, have any plans to work together again.
―Ed S., East Haddam, Conn.

A. "We're looking, but it's hard on our sons when we both work," says Susan, 61, an Oscar-winner for Dead Man Walking, directed by Tim, 49. You can see her as the evil queen in Enchanted, out Wednesday. "It's my first iconic Disney role," she adds. "I can't wait to be on a lunchbox!"

Q. Why would Ben Stiller want to do a disgusting movie like The Heartbreak Kid? Does this really benefit his career?
―Eleanor Miller, Trevose, Pa.

A. Stiller, 41, did Kid because it was directed by the Farrelly Brothers, who helped make him a star in 1998 with There's Something About Mary. But Kid hurt his career rather than helping it, because the film was a flop―interrupting a long line of hits that included, most recently, Night at the Museum. Venus will return to defend title
Cellular South Cup receives upgrade

Reigning Wimbledon champion Venus Williams, winner of last year's Cellular South Cup tournament at The Racquet Club, is making a return of serve, volley and overhead.

Officials at The Racquet Club announced Wednesday that Williams, the eighth-ranked women's player in the world, will participate in the 2008 event, making her the highest-ranked entrant since the lower-level pro event moved to Memphis in 2002.

Venus Wlliams, who won the Cellular South Cup at The Racquet Club back in February and went on to win Wimbledon, has committed to play in the 2008 Memphis event, which has been upgraded.

The Cellular South Cup, a Tier 3 tournament on the women's pro tour, is held in conjunction annually with the Regions Morgan Keegan Championships, the long-running men's pro event also played at The Racquet Club's indoor courts.

In addition to the announcement of Williams, tournament officials said the CSC will be upgraded in 2009 to a Series B event, giving the event access to higher-ranked players. The upgrade makes it possible for the Women's Tennis Association event to stand alone, although there are no plans for such a move.

As a Series B event, the CSC will be one of 17 such level events in the world and one of two in the United States.

"As a Tier 3 event, we didn't have access to the top six players in the world," said tournament director Phil Chamberlain. "It doesn't mean we'll necessarily get them, but a top-six player now will have the option to play in Memphis that week if she doesn't want to play oversees."

The 2008 RMKC and CSC will be held Feb. 22 to March 2.

In Williams, the CSC gets a player who, at age 27, has won 14 Grand Slam titles, including four Wimbledon championships. She beat Marion Bartoli in straight sets last summer at Wimbledon, joining Martina Navratilova, Steffi Graf and Billie Jean King as the only players in the Open Era to win at least four Wimbledons.

"She is as big a draw as there is in tennis," Chamberlain said.

Williams made her 2007 debut at the Memphis tournament after having been sidelined by a wrist injury. The CSC was her first event since October 2006.

She reached the Memphis final, as the No. 7 seed, with a win over a qualifier, and beat top-seed Shahar Peer of Israel, 6-1, 6-1, in the championship match.

Chamberlain said Williams enjoyed the week in Memphis and expressed interest in returning, but it didn't seem likely as her world ranking climbed. But the former world No. 1 kept her word.

"She had a great experience here," Chamberlain said. "And when the (Stanford St. Jude Championship) golf tournament was played (in early June), she came to town (to watch boyfriend Hank Kuehne), and while she was here she practiced at The Racquet Club twice. We are just excited about her coming back."

Also on Wednesday, the men's tournament received a commitment from Chile's Fernando Gonzalez, the world's No. 9 player and winner of September's ATP Tour event in Beijing Hank Kuehne

Henry August "Hank" Kuehne II (born September 11, 1975) is an American professional golfer who currently plays on the PGA Tour and Nationwide Tour.

Kuehne was born in Dallas, Texas. His father started him playing golf at a young age. He has a sister (Kelli) who plays on the LPGA Tour, and a brother (Trip) who finished second to Tiger Woods in the 1994 U.S. Amateur and remains an amateur. Kuehne began his college career at Oklahoma State University, but later transferred to Southern Methodist University, where he earned second team All-American honors his junior year as a member of the golf team. Kuehne won the 1998 U.S. Amateur while a student at SMU. He turned pro in 1999.

Although he has several professional wins in non-Tour events, Kuehne's best finish on the PGA Tour has been a T-2 at both the 2003 Shell Houston Open and the 2005 John Deere Classic. His best result in a major is a 65th place finish at the 1999 U.S. Open. In 2004, he unseated John Daly as the Tour's Driving Distance leader. (Daly had won eight consecutive titles.)

Kuehne lives in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and has a son Henry August Kuehne III (Sept 19, 2005) with ex-wife Nicole Kuehne. Since his divorce, he has been seen in public with tennis champion Venus Williams. Kuehne accompanied her to the 2007 Wimbledon Championships and 2007 U.S. Open.[citation needed]
