amazon customer vote
Okay, savvy shoppers, we've got another Black Friday tip for you, courtesy of an anonymous yet "reliable" source for PS3Fanboy.
It seems Amazon.com, in addition to offering that Customer Vote promotion for vastly cheaper next-gen consoles, apparently has another little trick up their sleeve for the nuttiness that will be Friday, November 23. And this one is geared directly towards current and would-be PS3 owners: one of the many deals the online retailer is offering will be a $20 Sixaxis controller! That's right, the controller that normally retails for $50 is getting a massive discount for the day after Thanksgiving, so we definitely suggest looking into this. After all, there are plenty of multiplayer-based titles out there that kick serious amounts of ass. Furthermore, the source claims DiRT for the PS3 will be reduced to $30, which - obviously - is half its usual price.
The sale will begin on Friday and last until Monday, as long as supplies are available. More deals are supposedly in the works and not yet leaked, but we'll find 'em when they come to light. Keep it here; we'll spot all the best gaming deals for ya!
Amazon.com's got a deal going on that could be potentially awesome to a select group of people. Basically, it goes like this: they've selected three hot items in several categories, including video game consoles, that could get major discounts. The thing is, you have to vote for the winning choice or the runner-up to get the discount, and even then only 1,000 randomly selected people will get access to it. Still, they're offering a Wii for $79, an Xbox 360 Arcade for $99, and a PS3 (40GB) for $139; that's around %60-65 off. You have to vote before November 22 to be eligible, and then you have to check back periodically to see if you got it, but for a next-gen console on the cheap, that's definitely worth Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Cyber Monday Sales on HDTV and Electronics (2007)

Yes indeed, the holiday deals are starting to pop up all over the place - Wal-Mart and KMart have already gotten into the game - and now, Amazon.com is offering their own deal. You'll have to get lucky with this one, but it's definitely worth looking into.
The Internet's biggest retailer is giving 1,000 consumers the chance to score either a PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, or Wii for a heavily discounted price. This week, through the Amazon Customer Vote promotion, customers can visit the site and vote for one of the following: a $79 Wii, a $99 Xbox 360 Arcade, or a $139 40GB PS3. The system that gets the most votes will get the listed discount, while the other two will receive lesser price cuts. Remember, the Wii and 360 Arcade retail for $249 each while the 40GB PS3 has a $399 price tag, so those savings are big. Amazon will sell 1,000 units of the winning console at that ridiculously cheap price, so get moving! This promotion only lasts through the week.
The 1,000 randomly selected customers can visit Amazon.com on November 22 to claim their uber-cheap console. Considering the prices, we'd like to think the PS3 will be the top vote-getter, so pay attention, would-be PlayStation 3 owners!
